I was born and grew up in Iran. I am the second child of three children. I have an older brother, Ramin, and a younger sister, Rita. My parents live in Iran.

Rambod with family in Germany 2015
My father was an army officer and my mother was a housewife. Whilst my mother was an extremely caring and loving person, the relationship with our father was quite formal with so much respect to him.
I learned many life experiences both from my mother and father. My mother became a role model on how to love others and being able to socially connect to others, whilst my dad taught me to think systematically and to achieve my education and career goals in a proper manner.
I am thankful to both of my parents for the role they played in my life.
Father & Sons
I was a happy child as my parents, brother, and sister were always beside me and I had a very close relationship with them.
Every now and then there were issues between us, the children, and between my parents but this is quite normal in any family.
I always enjoyed our summer holidays, when we would go to the north of Iran, where my parents are originally from, to spend time at beach and catching up with our relatives and friends.

I left home after I finished high school and following the completion of my compulsory two years of military service at age of 20.
I decided to go and live in Tehran, Iran’s capital city, to make a career and to go to university for higher education.

After completing my degrees at university and working professionally for about seven years, I decided to move to New Zealand to live and work in 1997.
